AirX Utility Surveyors “AirX” was founded in 1999 as a DBA of a small, local engineering firm. In 2003, Mr. Ivan Fox, PE., and his partners Gordon McElroy, PLS., and Janet McElroy incorporated AirX and it became its own separate entity. AirX has been providing quality Subsurface Utility Engineering “SUE” services to clients in California for over twenty-three years.

Although SUE Services were known on the east coast, this technology was relatively new in California twenty years ago and AirX Utility Surveyors is considered a pioneer in this industry on the west coast. We are today one of California’s “SUE” technology leaders.

AirX offers a comprehensive package to includes; vacuum excavation, locating services, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), video inspection (CCTV), traffic control plans, permit processing, traffic control equipment & personnel, documentation, and survey, mapping, and AC surface repairs per agency specs. It is our goal to provide our clients with quality services tailored to meet their needs and requirements.

Managed by registered civil engineers, and general engineering contractors, AIRX combines AutoCAD, with utility research. This approach provides the most practical and efficient means to manage data and properly verify the exact vertical and horizontal positioning of existing underground facilities prior to your civil project.
